On a glorious summers afternoon O's arrived for what should have been a lovely afternoons cricket. 
Batting first O's lost the in form Zaman for 11 and Minkey, Ward, Williams soon followed, at 73-4 
the innings was not looking good but an unbeaten partnership of 162 by Mulholland 79 and Riches 78 
left the innings looking more than healthy as it closed on 235-4, wonderful effort by the 2 old 
boys as they flogged a Theydon attack to all parts of the ground, sadly as the players from both 
teams arrived in their respective dressing rooms the news broke that 2 players from each team had 
their valuables stolen. The shocking news meant nobody had any heart to continue the game so it 
was obviously abandoned.
