After the humiliation of having to cancel last week’s game at Thorley the O’s finally managed to get a team 
out for the visit of Clapham Inn CC, as usual our visitors brought over a strong team for their 3rd visit to 
the QE2 Field, Clapham scored a challenging 192-9 which will be a very tough ask for the O’s batting, great 
bowling from cry boy Wicks at the top of the innings although not getting a wicket his 5 overs went for just 
14 runs.  Unfortunately with his eye on the tea spread there was no chance of him returning for his last 3 
overs, left handed Ferreira top scored with a classy 44, Mulholland pick of the bowling with an outstanding  
3-25, decent effort from the old man. In reply Mo Zaman held the innings together and paced it to a perfection 
with a brilliant 80 not out, good support from Rana 22 pushed the O’s along but it looked a lost cause as 9 
were required of the final over with Tibbins bowling, his 4 overs had conceded just 4 runs so game looked lost 
but remarkably Vicky Goyal who in his 1st game for the club smoked a 6 over extra cover off the penultimate ball, 
incredible shot from our guest clinching victory by 3 wickets. Another fine game v Clapham, O’s taking a 2-1 lead 
in our head to head. Next week away to Hockerill, make yourself available guys, good games to play in.
