After a thumping win of their own the week before the tables were turned as the O`s crashed to a 3 wicket defeat at 
Eversley Park. Winning the toss stand in skipper for that moment Heed had no choice but to bat as he only had 6 players 
at his disposal, what followed was a shambolic batting display with only Ramanuja 23 & L Mulholland 22 making any serious 
score in a dismal total of 81. Tidy figures all round for the Basildon boys Westwell 3-12, Spicer 3-12, Knight 3-29 the 3 
wicket takers. The O`s can take some comfort in the fact they made the hosts work hard for the runs with Ramanuja 4-36 & 
debutant Silva 2-28 reducing the chase to 65-6 but with so few runs to play with and with opener Townsend holding one end 
together with 43 Not Out defeat was inevitable and in the 20th over the total was reached.
Very simple message to take on board arrive late, play with 10=heavy defeat.
O`s travel to Hockerill next week keen to forget this miserable day.
