The O's suffered a 5 wicket defeat vs the ICCC 1994 XI side - in the return fixture from 
the 20 year anniversary match last year.

The O's batted first and the ICCC side showed positive intent from the start.  Ed (0) was 
dismissed in the first over from a short delivery from Vince, caught at gully and Salman 
Rana (4) was bowled early on. With Mo Zaman (13) dismissed by Rogers, the O's were 
struggling at 26-3 but Martin Riches (26) and Matt Hiscock (46) dug in and batted well to 
provide some resistance against some good bowling from Farenden (0-15) and Meadows (0-20). 

With Matt close to a fifty and Marvel going well the O's suffered a double blow with both 
dismissed in quick time as John Gray took the wicket of Riches and Vince returned to bowl 
Matt.  The O's innings petered out as Vince Mulholland (4-18) and John Gray (4-15) scooped 
up four wickets each.  Matt Hiscock was the standout batsman top scoring with 46 as the O's 
finished on 134 all out.

In reply Louis Morgan and Salman Rana bowled well and dismissed Chris Leighton (8) and Paul 
Alexander (9).  Louis Morgan also picked up the wicket of Dave Farenden (9), caught by Bob 
Marsh.  ICCC guest player Ollie Marsh batted bravely on a bouncy track but was bowled by Al 
for 0.

The ICCC XI had plenty more ammo to come and despite the early wickets the O's had a tough 
ask as Mark Tompkins set about building an innings on a tricky wicket. Ian Richardson (0-32) 
bowled a good spell in tandem with Alan Wicks (3-19) and Alan took the wicket of Tompkins. 
However Vince (37no) and Liam Mulholland (22no) continued where Tompkins left off to knock 
off the remaining runs, both batting well to seal a comfortable and deserved win for the 
1994 side.
