Oppo – Coopersale (a)
Type – 40 Overs
Report by Dave Revell

A new fixture for the O's saw the skipper win the toss and do a Ricky Ponting and decide to bat on a decent lively pitch,
with uneven bounce and life for the bowlers. 1st good decision of the day!
Coopersale's opening pair of Hancock and Fraser bowled superbly and quickly removed Tooth and Evans.
This brought in Coops at 3 on his season's debut and he batted very well.
After the dismissal of the previously mentioned skipper, Coopersale decided to make a game of it and give the opening pair a rest.
Some good batting from Parkes and Coops saw the O's crawl to a total of 107 All Out, with Carter 3rd top scorer with 9.
The O's bowlers then came out hoping to make a decent game of it.
Wicks and Parkes opened up and bowled some good fast lively stuff, restricting Coopersale to 22 off the first 10 overs.
Tooth replaced Parkes and kept the lively bowling going.
After a 9 over opening spell it was decided to give Wicks a rest and replace him with Carter, this season's top wicket-taker.
He came on and bowled a match winning spell. Unfortunately it was a winning spell for the oppo!
His figures of 3 overs for 31 getting the game over in no time at all!
A good fixture nevertheless, with good O's performances from Wicks, Cooper and probably the best Parkes.
