Match Report Date 09/08/15 Oppo Capricorn (h) Type 40 Overs Report by Liam Mulholland Skipper Heed's worst fears materialised as O's could only muster 9 players for the visit of Capricorn. The tour taking its toll plus an injury list that grows and grows plus the normal cry boy syndrome. On a blistering hot day Heed marched to the toss with his team mates praying a toss win, as expected our prayers were not answered and into the field we were sent, QE2 field is not the place to field two men short on a hot day. The outcome was pretty X rated viewing as the O's were thrashed to all parts, slaughtered in the sun, not a pretty sight as Capricorn mounted a gargantuan 275-9 with Amfazal top scoring with 76. Naylor best of the bowlers with 3-31. Frankly the game was over at the toss but after a brief tea as most players had no energy to eat a thing the O's were quickly bowled out for 108 with Hiscock making a fighting 33. O's smashed by a gigantic 167 runs not a good day at the office for sure, we hope for better at Theydon Bois next week.
