Report by Liam Mulholland

The O`s at last found the formula for success, that old favourite booze, booze, booze.
After smashing all local drinking records at Wellow the previous evening,
Nigel Costin carried the team to victory with an unbeaten ton.
Fonzie won a useful toss and decided to field backed up by his new ball bowlers Crash boy and Meadows,
the runs dried up very quickly, with the O`s looking at a small total the introduction of Pain changed the course of the innings
with a very classy ton put together in just 18 overs,Godshill finished on a useful looking 188-9.
At tea the yearly battle with the most ferocious tea lady on the cricket circuit took place with honours just about even.
Costin was asked to open the innings to keep him out of trouble after the skipper saw him challenging a local stag to a race through the New Forest,
the most competitive man in the northern hemisphere then put Godshill to the sword as he thrashed the bowling to all parts of the forest
the only scare in the chase when Godshill veteran Alan Cousins used his local knowledge to start a stampede of horses who swept through the square at breakneck speed.
The bull frog from Rainham would not be denied as he finished unbeaten on 102 with old boy Mulholland blocking his way to a steady 67 not out
the O`s winning by 10 wickets with 6.2 overs to spare for a glorious victory after summer of misery

Champagne moment-Costins extra cover drive to bring up his first ever career ton
