Match Report Date 07/08/14 Oppo – Woodgreen (a) Type – 35 Overs Report by Mr Sleepy The O's arrived at the ever-picturesque Woodgreen looking to end the tour on a high after narrowly loosing at Godshill. Before the game, three nights of non-stop boozing, gambling and the occasional tear up had obviously taken it's toll on the o's as most of the team were tee totaled outside the pavilion at quarter to two. Hence it was to amazement of Captain Marvel that eleven players managed to make it onto the pitch to field when the o's were subsequently asked to field first. The Thiru brothers got the O's off to a very tidy start with both Woodgreen openers seemingly content to play themselves in for the first twenty overs - much to the delight of most of the orient fielders! After reaching 30-0, bowler of the tour Revell came on to continue his fantastic form to add another three wickets to his tally, including the dangerous Lindsey who reached a mammoth 28 off 69 balls. Things changed after drinks, with Woodgreen Boom-boy Harding (59) taking a liking to the ever spewing Humphrey who's cries of "THERE'S ONLY ONE MEEEEEEKO" could still be heard booming around the New Forest from the night before. Ollie 'Giraffe' Graham was then bought on to save Humphrey's a place in the record books, however Harding kept swinging to bring up his fifty in next to no time. Many rumors exist as to why Ollie's suffered a recent drop off in form - was it the effects of his new role in 'Fight Club 4: Bournemouth Edition'? Or was it his successful audition the night before for an unnamed film directed by Ryan Naylor? Either way, Giraffe managed to get the wicket of Harding who was well held by Thiru S in the deep, before sending the stumps flying into the face of Riches behind the stumps to dismiss Ayres for two. The O's kept taking wickets with a catch from new Sky boxing promoter Rumbold off the returning Thiru A and a handy run out to leave Woodgreen on 185-8 from their 35 overs. After an excellent tea, Revell (8) and Suzie Q (59) continuing his good form gave the O's a solid start with the Woodgreen bowling rendering the speed gun largely redundant for the rest of the afternoon. Revell, followed by Rumbold (9) soon came and went before Naylor (90*) fresh from signing Ollie to a new film contract, compiled an excellent innings to take the game away from Woodgreen. Sadly, most of the o's middle order didn't witness most of the innings from being passed out on the boundary! When Susie Q departed for a well made 59, Humphrey's was woken from his deep slumber and forced out into the middle who joined Naylor to bring the O's home with four overs and six wickets to spare.
