Match Report Date 06/09/15 Oppo Cheshunt (a) Type 40 Overs Report by Liam Mulholland On a beautiful last Sunday of the season O's arrived with a world cup squad of 22 but unfortunately 11 of this motley crew were serial cry boys or booze merchants for the day. Skipper Mulholland had no hesitation batting first on winning the toss. O's finishing on 193-7 a reasonable score but maybe 20 short on what is always a cracking track for batting. Mo Zaman finishing a glorious season with the bat with a top score of 45, slightly fortunate after umpire Hiscock turned down a LBW appeal when he padded up to spinner Stevenson on the grounds that the ball would have gone under the stumps, O's scoffed a pretty memorable tea after the local food bank had been raided. In an enthralling contest, O's kept their nerve in the field bowling a good Cheshunt team out with 8 balls to spare to win by 20 runs, Ollie Marsh finishing an outstanding season with a return of 4-30, well bowled young man. Baker-Merry again continued his progress with a 3-30 spell. Another excellent season comes to a close with another win, well done chaps.
