Type 35 Overs
Report by Nurse Ball

After the bloodbath at Godshill yesterday, the O’s turned up at Woodgreen for their final game of the tour.
Mo Zaman, not happy with the 4 pints of blood lost by Gordon Graham the day before, decided to take a selfie
with the smallest horses on the planet, only for the mother of one of them to take offence at Mo’s presence
and proceeded to turn and kick him in the shoulder and would have been the head if not for Mo’s Usain Bolt
like speed. With the usual no toss rule on this last fixture, O’s batted first and openers Langrish and
Usain Bolt II made a good start. Langrish first to fall for 13 in a partnership of over 50. Next came in
veteran Mulholland still reeling from the carnage the day before and the shock that most of his team mates
were more interested in their averages and the fit ambulance woman than the health of GG and the fact that
Gordon was asked to move out the way so they could continue the game and get a nice view of the rear of the
year attending him.
Mulholland, unusually took 12 balls to get off the mark but once he did, smashed a quickfire 48 in a good
partnership with Zaman (66). A final blast of sixes from new man Tron Headlam saw the O’s post a total of
182 – 6 off their 35 overs.
After tea, the O’s opened with Revell and Guru. Guru bowling with good pace and Revell confusing the batsman
with balls that just about reached the stumps. Even his effort ball just about reached the gloves of the keeper
at ankle height. This partnership however, produced carnage for the batsmen with both returning good figures,
Guru 7-0-30-2 and Revell 7-2-11-3. Change bowlers Riches 7-0-15-1 and Mulholland 4-0-12-1 continued the good
work and the game was made to look close by a knock of 100 from Harding who decided to take strike and let
the young kid at the non strikers end watch rather than get some experience of batting, nice one son!
A good result and 3 out of 3 for the O’s.
