Match Report Date 03/08/15 Oppo Hythe & Dibden (a) Type 20 Overs Report by Liam Mulholland O's started their New Forest tour in farcical style with 2 of their players lost in transit after typing the wrong post code into their satnav and sending them careering towards Brighton rather than Bournemouth! Guess could have been worse, Blackburn, Blackpool, Berwick, Bulgaria being various options. In a nice 20 over thrash to ease them into the tour O's found their bowlers being carted to various postcodes Dumb & Dumber would have tapped in. Page 77, Clements 41 destroyed the bowling enabling Hythe & Dibden to post 191 off their 20. Chintan Shah best of the cannon fodder with 2-25. With our intrepid pair now at the ground, skipper Heed expected some positive response and my god he \got it, Laird out first ball to a six year old, travelled 325 miles for a golden, quality effort. Nav Ali made up for his late arrival by blasting a belligerent 73 that somehow kept O's in the hunt. Good support by Salman Rana who hit 43 made the score look respectable as they finished 38 runs short on 153-8 but in truth they were thumped for the third year running. Huge thanks to Steve Chiverton who organised a great evening again. Next up can all the players make it to Wellow tomorrow rather than Wolverhampton.
