Match Report Date 02/08/15 Oppo ICCC (a) Type 40 Overs Report by Liam Mulholland After their early season mauling at the hands of ICCC the return fixture was the complete opposite outcome. Batting on a glorious sunny day O's rattled up a mammoth score of 257-6, Zaman top scoring with a fine 91 with his trademark cuts and pulls bringing him numerous boundaries. Great support from opening partner Williams who stroked a classy 64 which quickly put the game beyond the Catholics, Hiscock joined in the run feast completing his maiden fifty for the club in the final over finishing not out on 54, only highlight for the Catholics was the diving catch by Ian Morgan to dismiss a despondent Humphrey who immediately feared the catch will be mentioned forever more. Facing an impossible task Catholics struggled immediately against the fearsome opening attack of Mulholland & Richardson, no speed gun required today. The old guard claimed 3 wickets each with Baker-Merry nicking another 3 to continue his good recent run. Mulholland finishing with 3-11 being the best of the trio. Only Mayuran with 28 the only resistance as Catholics were bundled out for 99 in 28 overs, O's romping home by 158 runs, nice early finish by the boys to set them up for the New forest tour that starts tomorrow.
